White 764 sewing machine repair and timing.
 
I bought a 764 sewing machine and the gear is broken, so I bought the part. But I do not know how to change it and or adjust the timing. Would somebody please help me.

That's a cute machine! Don't think I've ever seen one before.

Is the gear you're replacing the "driver gear?" That's behind the hook?

It's the Lower Shaft Hook Drive Gear. Tomorrow I will take a picture.
