White 782
2 Attachment(s)
I picked up a bunch of machines a couple of months ago, from my Minnesota sister, including this White 782. I'm not sure what was supposed to be wrong with it (it was free) except a plastic cap broke off from the interior of the hand wheel.
This machine is from the early 1970s and included the manual and original box of attachments. It has a push rod mechanism on the bobbin winder which when lifted disengages the hand wheel from the main shaft, no clutch knob. And it sews well! |
Another nice find! That is neat that the bobbin winder automatically disengages the main shaft.
I don't see broken plastic cap. https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/wink.png Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do. |

I took the photo from the machine's best side! https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/smile.png
Here's the cap, not sure it's really functional, just cosmetic I think. You can see the spot for the missing tab to hold it on, not sure of a fix just yet. |
