Why didn't anyone warn me that acquiring a FW could possibly be an immediate addiction?!?!?

Again, my profuse thanks to everyone for all the links to resources!!
One post sent me to www.shopgoodwill.com - OMG, what a mistake!! I found several FW's, and bid on them as well! Fortunately, I was outbid after I came to my senses!! After all, I DO need to Christmas shop!!

Anyway, at lunch yesterday, a co-worker came by and said "There's this new little store, and they have a teeny sewing machine".
Up I jumped, threw on my coat, grabbed my purse and my co-worker, and dashed out the door.
I spent $24 and came back with this little cutie:

And don't overlook 99s. They are 3/4 sized but great

That is so cute! I have a few toy machines. I don't collect them. But red IS my favorite color. Hmm.....

It is indeed a toy.
I worked on it a little here at the office yesterday. It would not cycle all the way through, so I poked and prodded and managed to fix it. I cranked it by hand (worked fine), then plugged it in, and turned it on, and it ran fine that way too. I haven't had a chance yet to see how (or IF) it actually sews.

But it was just CUTE!!!!!!!
And I had to have it!! :D

I've really become interested in toy machines lately because I have so little room to collect other machines. I have one Singer toy machine currently (along with a couple of other full size vintage machines as well as a modern). I cruise Craigslist each AM and keep looking for the toys at reasonable prices. You got a pretty good deal on that one. Enjoy.

Don't underestimate toy sewing machines. Check out this video of a lady who sewed on a flight to China.

We did warn you. You just didn't heed the warning. :)

Just don't go to an auction. If you limit yourself to one at a time, you might not end up with a house full or in my case, 14 sewing machines in the garage + more in the storeroom.

"I, too, got quickly enamored with old sewing machines. I, too, got in over my head. I didn't spend that much money, so that's not an issue. What is an issue is that I have about 15 sewing machines (some with cabinets) that I either have to fix, sell or trash. I love the old machines, but I don't know how to fix them. I don't love them enough to spend the time to learn how to fix them. Right now, they are taking up space in my store room and my garage. I just got carried away after I bought my first Japanese machine for $15.00."
