Willcox & Gibbs Automatic tension question

So, I'm usually pretty good about being able to find documentation on things, but this one has be stumped...

I am looking for a "exploded view" of the automatic tensioning mechanism.

The Original manual just states "The Automatic Tension is not at all liable to get out of order, but will remain perfectly adjusted and self-adjusting, if not meddled with."

ok, well it was "meddled with" before I got it... Now what....??

I have not been able to find ANY images or photos where someone has shown this... weird...

I have 4 of these machines, 2 electric, one treadle and one hand crank. I haven't (yet) had any problems with the tension. I will search through my paperwork, but have you checked the group at treadleon, there is almost always someone there that can help you.

I'll update tonight as to the level of relative success.

If the machine is fit, the autotension should work like a charm, It goes up and down as the needle cycles...Jon beat me to the documentation.

thank you, jlhmnj! at last I could see what is into that secret magic button.
and you, steve, now willy does sew right?

Yes, she sews like a dream. And I just acquired a FULL set of Willcox and Gibbs accessories in the original tin to go with it.
