I had a friend call me early this morning with what she saw and, of course, I ended up buying it.....The book is a parts book but in Spanish---which I don't speak or read but she is sooo kool and stitches so nice---I hope someone knows more about her----I haven't found much on the internet.

She is definitely a beauty! And looks to be in superb condition! Yep, you definitely scored big time!
Wow! Neat machine! Definitely a super find!!
I love it, and I promise your not going to find many of those floating around!!! The cabinet and machine look to be in very well kept condition which makes it that much more rare in my book. I will look around and see if I can find any information about the machine for you.
You made a great score indeed!!!!!! Billy |
She's a Spanish beauty!
Harrishs - I am seriously envious.
There is precious little on the internet about these machines, but it was made in the Basque country, Elgoibar is between Bilbao and San Sebastian, a beautiful part of Spain. Want to send me a PM? I can do you a translation of the parts book if you send me a copy. Is it just a parts book and not a manual? How did it end up in the States? There has to be a story behind it. When I first visited that part of Spain, in 1968, there were quite a few US servicemen and their families there. There was a hilarious little 3 year old called Tammy who would trot around in her vest knickers and cowboy boots. |
nice score on this beauty.wow.

Oh wow a spanish machine!!!!! It is gorgeous you are sew lucky. If you need something explained in Spanish I can help. What are you going to name her?
Awesome find!! :) I'd have snapped that one up too!
Love it! I don't know anything about it, but it is an absolutely fantastic score.
Wow.. you're living right! To have found something like that and in such good condition. Maybe you'll need to have a flaminco guitar music in the background while you sew! :D Enjoy your new machine.
as for the spanish go to dictionary.com they will translate.
Awsome! |
You lucky girl!! SCORE!!!!
Just type in what you want translated at google translate and it will translate from spanish to english anything you want. Wonderful
What a find! She looks like my new Pfaff 30 treadle in many ways. Does that knob below the stitch regulator drop the feed dogs? I guess you will have to sew in Spanish so she understands you! LOL!
What a nice little find! She looks like my newly acquired Pfaff 30. The lines are much the same with some differences in the thread guides. Such a sweet cabinet too! Is the knob on the bed just below the stitch regulator to drop the feed? You will have to speak Spanish when you sew on her so she understands you! LOL!
It looks like it would be a close copy of the Singer 66. What type of bobbins does it take? Can you post a picture of the bobbin area and maybe a picture of the bobbin next to a known class 15 or 66 bobbin?
There is a translation site on line you can input the information and have it translated for you .. She is a beauty for sure .. SCORE ! for sure

wow beautiful machine and cabinet! It looks to be in lovely condition too. Congrats!

It looks like the manual for the 15-30 might be the closest thing for threading, troubleshooting, oiling, winding the bobbins, etc.
It appears to have a solid-sided class 15 bobbin - Jenny at shop.sew-classic.com has these and I've taken to using them on all my class 15 bobbin machines. The heavier weight and the Magic Genie Bobbbin Washers have eliminated the tiny thread nests on the backs of my quilts and the sides of these bobbins are a lot straighter and sturdier than the kinds with the holes in them. :) Have fun - she is a beauty!! :) |
Super Nice Score!!!!!!!!! What a beauty!!!!!
Beautiful! Have fun with it.
Pretty decals! And nice looking treadle cabinet. IF you haven't googled Sigma sewing machines, do so to see just the few that have been posted- not much. Congrats!!!
Talk about having a one of a kind.....That is a good find.
Absolutely love this!
