Yea for me too!!! A nice 115

My "soul sister" in MO picked me up a nice machine this morning. I found it on Craigslist several days ago, but she was out of town so I've been hoping it wouldn't get sold before she got back. Paid $45 if anyone is curious.

Today she picked her up and will babysit until I go down there in October. I had thought it was a 15 until I was looking at ISMACS and discovered that this decal was only put on the 115 - which makes it even better! I was looking for both - with decal patterns I didn't already have.

This is the picture from the Add - I don't expect to get better ones until I pick her up. I did get the serial number so confirmed it's a model 115 - made in 1917.

I am so glad to have friends that help feed my addiction - and it works both ways, when I go to pick up this machine, I'm dropping off a white featherweight for her.

And her future home

She will be going in this parlor cabinet. I picked this up from the local quilt shop. I'd been looking and missed out on a few 400 miles away, and then one day I stopped at the local quilt shop and in looking around spied this under some fabric.

It belonged to the owner, and I made her an offer. She bought it because someone had put an older Pfaff in it (and took out all the treadle parts), and not for the cabinet. That shop also sells new Pfaffs.

She was almost disgusted when I told her it was a SINGER cabinet. She said "you think it's a Singer Cabinet" and I said "I KNOW it's a Singer cabinet". So she took out her machine and I brought the cabinet home with me.

And then about 2 months later, I found a listing on ebay for the entire treadle parts for this cabinet on a "buy it now" I think I broke into a sweat hitting that button so fast LOL!!

I about cry when I see these parlor cabinets "repurposed" so I'm excited to be able to put one back to use as intended.

Cathy,

If I move up there can I come and play with your machines? You got some nice ones. Mine are more like old beaters, but they sew ......

Beautiful Wings decals!!!!! And gorgeous parlor cabinet! I saw a similar cabinet a few months ago but it was painted brown over the walnut= poor thing.

When you get the two together, they will be dancing the happy dance. It's a shame so many machines and their homes have gotten separated. ... and so good to see them put back together again.
