I was surfing our local Goodwill.com and found this on auction...a white Featherweight 221J. Scroll down on the page to see better pictures.

She just needs a new belt. I can't believe the price they are bidding! Wow...she sure is a beauty. Any takers out there????

Saw it the 1st day, made bid, but new it would go higher. Looked today and showed my husband, he just said D___!
Told him " I had bid on it for him for his B-day next month but didn't think he wanted to go that high" He said " Thanks, Babe but NO WAY!"

Oh well, Country...it was worth a try wasn't it? It sure is beautiful to look at!

Must be because it is white ?

akrogirl 08-30-2011 06:52 PM

No, it's because it is tan and the case looks to be in excellent condition!

It's too expensive for me! Saw it yesterday when it hit 400$!

Sharon this machine is the most sought after machine next to the 222K, you are looking at the Tan FW. This one will get close to $600 before its over with.

Can you believe someone donated it to Goodwill? Obviously not aware of what they had. It's right here in my own city! Maybe I should just head over there tomorrow just to take a peak at it. I CAN dream, can't I?

Yes dream and try and find one offline.
I purchased mine for $70.00 plus tax (this month) from a lesser thrift store :)

YAY!! I love it when one of us gets such a good deal on the vintage machines! We all know the deals are out there...it's a matter of having the time to go out and look.

The white ones in the green and white case must not be as rare as the tan ones. I have a white one and it was $175. Hope it was a good price. It's in excellent condition.
