Default Singer 28

I've been keeping watch for a machine with a hand crank, and this one turned up on CL. She looks pretty good for her age. I believe a 28 from 1908. She needs some cleaning, but the wheel turns freely and all the parts are there. I'm so excited! My DH said I drag home these old machines like they are kittens to rescue!

The nice part about sewing machines is they're so much less expensive than kittens in the long run!

Pretty machine!

That's a beautiful machine. I think I might need a hand crank machine too! Those decals are in real nice shape.

Yeah, they don't need shots, tags, and the only food needed is oil and grease and lots of attention.

None of our cats do either - the first trip to the vet takes care of that All of the kittens that have shown up here were because someone else didn't make that trip to the vet.
