Love the idea of potholders and playing with vintage machines and FMQ. What a great idea to just follow the pattern on the fabric. Now why hadn't I thought of that???

I have sewn on vintage, Singers, Elnas, Vikings and assorted japanese made machines for 40 years. Love using them. I just got this one for the dual feed. I like it. I think it is the 80's wasn't sure if it is considered vintage or just kinda old.

Thanks, I like sharing my discoveries...just part of the the fun with learning to sew with vintage machines.

I like your Harley quilt for your daughter.

I don't know a thing about Pfaff 1222. You may want to direct your question to the Vintage Sewing machine thread where a discussion of what is considered vintage occurs. This thread is for sharing the projects made with vintage machines so that others can get ideas and to see what is possible.

I'd consider that young vintage. Nice machine. I noticed it in your studio pictures. Great Elna too in your avatar. Thanks for sharing.

Last night's project that I made as gift for my daughter, a mannequin pin cushion. I just used the Two Spools since it has that wonderful 1/4 inch foot. Candle stitch holder is vintage, and fabrics were leftovers from sewing projects from my daughter.

Well here is my Santa made from a Happy Hollow Design! He was made using my Eldredge Two Spools - from about 1915 - treadle and finished using my Singer 15-88! I did not use an electric machine on this jolly little Santa!
