This is at an estate sale, love the desk. Any info on Singer machine would be a big help, not sure yet what they want for it, but need info first.
Thanks,

First, find the serial number and check it out at http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...-database.html

Then you can Google whatever machine it is for more information. You may even be able to find a manual online, if there wasn't one with the machine.

Sometimes the model number on those "newer" machines is located in the front edge of the deck, Tilt it back carefully and look there, also sometime there is a number on a label on the right side vertical portion of the machine.

The cabinet is from a Touch and Sew. It is solid maple and gorgeous. I'd buy it for the cabinet and toss the machine.

It is at an estate sale and I was trying to find out how much I could get it for. Will have to find out tomorrow if it is still there and what they are asking. Cabinet is what I want, and she was to send me serial # today but didn't. Thanks everyone.

Toss out the machine - looks like the cabinet will fit other Singer machines.

It is a singer Fashion Mate and I guess I am getting the whole thing for $50. Will find another machine to go in it, not sure if 201 or Kenmore will fit, but love the cabinet.

The 201 should fit, not sure about the Kenmore.

Kenmore machines of that vintage have square holes for the machine to set in the cabinet.
