Default Anyone know what this machine is??

It's listed for sale on a local estate sale. It appears to be in amazing condition. My husband would *kill* me if I went and got this, but it looks very tempting... any thoughts? Japanese 201 knockoff?

Thanks, Miriam. I thought so, was just looking through that thread, but didn't see anything quite like this. Any idea what a fair price for it would be?

There is all kinds of info on the link above. Muv has a video how to thread it. I think there is a discussion of how to thread it as well. As far as price I know what I have to charge for one here but in other places it may vary.

What do you have to charge and what part of the country are you in? I was reading that they aren't worth more than $50?

Maybe I shouldn't comment. My ideas on price tend to come back and bite me. Well, why let that stop me?
$500 and the cabinet needs stripped and refinished (unless you like the less than complete paintjob). Yikes! The machine is a pretty shade of blue though.

We're back to this. The older machines are nice and they do have the real values of being durable and good stitchers but prices just aren't on the same page.
