I am stumped my singer foot pedal works but not the knee pedal . Any suggests for me there is power but it seems as if the knee pedal is always off.hubby is 7nder the cabinet too,

Hi, I recently bought a Singer machine with the serial number AB923638, and the manual says it's a 99-13. It was missing a knee pedal when I purchased it, and I've been searching for a replacement pedal. I posted on another forum and someone mentioned using this database (http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mach...l-numbers.html), the style is actually a 101, so that's a bit confusing for me to figure out which style it actually is.

I've already bought 2 different knee pedals that do not fit, so I'm trying to figure out how to find the exact knee pedal that will fit.

Welcome, madebymle. There have been some errors in the Serial number lists. Sometimes the numbers are not very clear and sometimes misread. A picture would help. Also, you didn't say whether your machine is in a case or in a cabinet. There is a pdf located at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf on how to post pictures. I believe that the file size is in error as it seems like the size generally needs to be reduced to be able to post.

The differences between the 101 and the 99 are the size of the bed of the machine, the shape of the needle plate, the location of the stitch length regulator and the motor (either built into the back of the machine (101) or can easily be removed by a screw and bracket that are under the hand wheel (99). There are other differences, but those are the easiest to identify.

I'm attaching a picture of my 99 and it is in a case. I have circled where the knee lever inserts into the base. Mine is the lever with a round end, that inserts. There is also a type that has a flat bar, that inserts into the base.

Hi OurWorkbench, thank you so much for your response and help! My machine is definitely a 99, it looks exactly like yours, and the booklet with it says "99-13".

Would you mind posting a photo of the top of your knee bar where it inserts into the machine? That would be very helpful. I've tried buying 2 different styles, and neither worked. My knee bar needs to have a cylinder at the top, but it seems the cut out at the top needs to be a different shape than what I have bought. Instead of the bar fitting around a screw inside the machine, it needs to click/lock into an angled part. At this point I'm considering modifying the one I have purchased to get it to fit, because it seems impossible to find the right style. I've attached a photo of the part the cylinder needs to fit into.
