Default Singer 99 In Dome Case $30 Estate Sale Purchase

Yesterday I found this lovely machine in a gorgeous dome case for $30. There were no accessories but the knee bar was tucked up in the top of the case. Singer database says it is a 99 Mfg May 22, 1929. I have never seen a bobbin attachment like this on a drop in bobbin. Is this original or added feature.? We will need to attach a foot pedal as I am not very good at knee controls since I had my knee replacement. The needle plate was off but included in the case.

What a nice find! 99' s are sweet machines, and that is the correct bobbin winder for that vintage, to the best of my knowledge.

Nice - and the knee bar along is worth $30 - so you did very well!

Since this one already has the plug in harness, it would be very easy to by a double end cord (plug on one end, foot pedal on the other) and use that. I don't know if you can use it that way without disconnecting the knee controller. Have not tired that on any of mine . . .

BTW - everything looks original to me - that is the older style bobbin winder that was used on the early 66 and 99 machines.
