I seriously doubt that anyone would pay such a high price for this! Gimme a break! :D
Also some people get the idea that b/c it's in demand people will stop at nothing. Too many FW's out there though.

Most of the rest of them on ebay are going in the $200 - $300 range it looks like.

perhaps because they have the carrying case and it looks to be excellent condition. all the attachments. the instruction/maintenance book looks in excellent condition also. i have one [my late grmothers] and it has been well used. considered in excellent condition tho a few issues w/the japan black finish. and the case is worn. cord replaced. and it has been valued at over 700$us....and the one in this ad looks brand new compared to mine [i also have all the attachments and the book - but the dealer doing the assesment didn't know that]

Because many are looking for them now- so everyone thinks they are sitting on a gold mine when they have one - not to say that they are not worth a bit of money but some people seem to take it to an extreme JMHO :lol:
