Default Singer 201 find with cabinet and attachments

This is my find from an auction last night - Singer 201-2 made on Jan 3, 1938 in a wonderful art nouveau cabinet. This is a straight stitch only machine in perfect working condition - the paperwork had a maintenance bill from 1976 when it was cleaned and new brushes costing $.25 were installed.
The attachements had you usual set of feet but also had a pinking attachment that is very rare, an embroidery attachment with manual dated 1930, hem stitcher and picot edger attachment with instructions, a buttonholer with instructions, an adjustable zig zag attachment with instructions, a manual for the 201-2 machine, and a singer craft guide instrument with instructions. all the attachments came in a separate box.

I threaded it up and it sews a very nice stitch and will get to play with the various feet over time.

I have other vintage machines too numerous to mention but my regulars are the pfaff 130 used when i need to sew through multiple layers, a singer 401 set up for double needle use, along with my newer machines a janome 6600P and a janome 3500 set up for zipper installs.

I mostly make bags and purses, the latest design is shown with some embroidery I designed and digitized with Embird and sewed with my janome 300E

the photos are of the accessory box, the cabinet and stool, the cabinet open showing the 4drawers and machine, the 201itself, the craft guide (which i had never seen before) and one of the suede purses with embroidery.

Wow what a fantastic find! That embroidery box is an excellent find too. How much did it all cost?

The machine is beautiful, but I really love that Art Deco cabinet! You certainly scored with this!

I dream of finding a 201 in that cabinet style. Congrats on your new machine.

My DD has this cabinet and it is gorgeous!! I think she has a 15-91 in it...she got it for a mere $50 last year. We are both bargain hunters but alas, have run out of room for collecting machines.... I might still be persuaded to purchase a good buy on a nice treadle cabinet for my pretty Sphynx girl though, LOL !
