I have a hand crank sphinx decals made in China and need threading instruction for top and bobbin

Is the needle in right? That would be my first check. Needles have to face a certain direction or the machine sometimes won't pick up a stitch. Your manual should be able to tell you which direction to face the needle.

Some Singer 15s thread differently than the clones, you can't always use their instructions. Here is a generic manual for the clones that would probably be more useful to you than a Singer manual:
{ http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...ion-manual.pdf }

The clones needles go in FLAT TO THE RIGHT and thread LEFT TO RIGHT.

When you put the filled bobbin in the case and thread it, the bobbin should ROTATE CLOCKWISE as you pull on the thread.

I finally got it to sew flat of needle to the left and thread left to right
I sell at a street fair in palm springs, .ca during the winter and will use the handcrank to demonstrate and get some work done
Thanks for the manual reference
