The original dry rotted 100 year old leather "cord" is the first thing I look for.

Doesn't much matter that the "needle is in good condition" if the thing doesn't work!!!

Do you think I should distress them some more? Beat them with chains or stain them odd colors? I have a couple real nice ones - only certain machines will work in them though.

Only certain machines like the one Christine was so kind to share with us! We need to get these two together!! .... For your cabinets though, I think some gold spray paint would do well. Maybe ask around the $2000 mark to let people know you're a serious style maven, too.

Gold would look nice now wouldn't it. Oh yes and I could make some serious money at $2000 a pop - if I could just get that for one I would be very happy.

May your stitches always be straight, your seams always lie flat, and your grain never be biased against you.

Foot pedals???? why would you need them if there is no machine? Besides, think of all the storage room underneath.
