I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this one:
    http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-...AdIdZ479005709

Where's the extension, and what did they have to do to the cabinet and the machine to get it into that cabinet....

I'm always baffled why people put "would make a great conversation piece" in their ads ....

    "What's that?"
"Old sewing machine. Got it from some dude on Craigs list for $75.00"
    "Got any beer?"

This is such a classic ad. Top dollar, blurry pics (none of actual machine) and no info!
I know that $450 is just leaping out of my wallet.

No kidding! I once has a sales coach tell me that there's one reason that something won't sell. It's priced too high for what it is. I would love a little La Vencedora, but I don't want it that badly. It's possible all the machines in the house cost less than that, combined. Erm... ok... that was maybe true before the arrival of the 222.

I knew that sooner or later we would see resale on the faux Featherweights. Here is the first listing I have seen:

    http://lubbock.craigslist.org/hsh/3753914005.html

They are ugly when new, and even uglier when used!

Worse,.. the black shows every mark.

I didn't realize they marketed these as a featherweight... when I saw the post, I thought it was going to be the alphasew "Quilter's Portable"

I've also seen another black plastic machine being sold for denim/jeans - designed to look "cool". Should be a few of those popping up around the place soon enough, at least in Australia.

Just saw my first cheap plastic Brother machine in an op-shop recently - the one that retails here for about $130. I told the woman who worked there that she'd be seeing plenty of those in the years to come!

LOL I'm thinking the guy is trying to collect email addresses so he can sell them. Try $11.00 to be realistic.
