But it's black and comes with its own cabinet. Come on ladies, we are just too picky here. Actually, I believe the seller needs a jacket that makes him hug himself and a nice cozy padded room.

I have 10 Singers and the youngest is over 50 years old - and all but 3 are black - think I can haul in lots of bucks? Oh wait - I'd have to move to Canada first and start smokin the funny stuff.

Now...in their defense, if they don't know machine values, and don't want to bother to research, it's better to start high and go lower, because it's nearly impossible to start low and go higher!!

Here is a "marketing" consideration. What if the $10,000 figure is an attention getter? I bet a whole lot of people looked at the $$ figure just to see what kind of machine would be worth that much. It did elicit some response here on the QB.

For Sale VINDEX SPECIAL sewing machine - RARE - treadles real easy
needs belt - has ALL the drawers - table top needs only a little work where the veneer buckled
and the place where the chain cut the wood can easily be repaired

You can make an offer but truthfully, it isn't even worth the $30 they are charging for shipping! They will get more if they take it to a scrap yard and sell the metal!
