If the other posts get your goat, this one will take the whole barnyard. No pic, no price, not even OBO.
LOL what they really want is for you to donate money...

"This is a Canadian made White Sewing Machine Company, Model 464, with table from the 1950's.
We hate to see it go, but we no longer have the room for it any longer and hope that someone who knows it's value will take good care of it. "

I like to think I have an idea of the "value" of machines of that vintage, and $300 isn't it....

Those are very nice machines - I would like to get $50 for one... all refurbished, too...

Did they make that style machine in the 50s? Looks more recent to me. Of course I've been wrong before. . . Oh its the table that is from the 50s - that I believe, as we had one like that when I was growing up.

I think they just guessed - Grandma was married back then so the machine must be that old, too...

"The sewing machine seems to be in very good condition, but I am unable to confirm if it works."

I saw this yesterday http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/richm...ine/1020945186
I emailed the advertiser with "that's not a 502k". He replied "Yes it is". I actually laughed out loud! Had to tell him, though, "Sorry, but it's just that it is obvious it's not a 502k and I thought I'd let you know. I was just trying to help you but you're so certain that this 201 is a 502, so my mistake"

I wonder if he knows it requires thread in order for the "seams" to "appear"?

I always cringe when I see a fabric pin catcher wrapped around the arm of a sewing machine 'cause I've seen what the pins do to the paint underneath. Still, if shipping to the U.S. weren't prohibitive, I would certainly give $30 for a 201k.
