Well, it looks like it might be easily undone, for what that is worth, though the asking price pretty much ruins that notion.

Oops, the above was meant as a reply to Canadian Girl Judy's post, but somehow that did not show in my post. In case it doesn't make sense on its own.... It is a $1200 Grasshopper! (missing its cord... yeeesh!)

Oh.
My.
GOSH!

So, I actually replied to the Grasshopper ad, thinking legitimately that they had misplaced the decimal. Easy to do when typing. And I got the most HILARIOUS response. Is it even remotely kosher to post it here? Probably not. Sigh. Well, let's just say that the seller had it appraised and they know it is worth more than $1000 even without the chord "which cost like $20 bucks and we can get one".

Oh dear.

Kids these days. ;-)

And yes, I know the difference between cord and chord.

And peddle and pedal and pettle.

And sewing and sowing.

And $100 and $1000.

;-)

I was thinking everything you said, Cecilia. Grrr, the number of peddles I've seen in the past week, as well as a sowing machine or two! Thankfully, it's idiots that keep the prices of beautiful old machines as low as they are (usually - $1000 Elnas excepted).

Well, I wasn't expecting that.

I will say that it is very creative, and looks a lot better than the ones that got turned into lamps.
