Default For vintage Kenmore 158 wth Super High Shank users

I discovered something I wish I had noticed earlier. I have a Kenmore 158 with a super high shank and finding a 1/4" foot that fit turned into an exercise in futility. I had put the "J" foot on to sew some masks. I noticed that foot has two lines that run down each side of the foot. I decided to measure the seam after sewing using that line as a guide. Guess what. It sews a perfect 1/4" seam. Now I don't have to try and find a 1/4" foot. I also turned the needle plate around to the single needle hole to keep fabric from getting caught in the hole.
