Thumbs up Vintage Machine

I tried to find any postings I may have made on this machine, but couldn't find any. I received this as a birthday gift from my sister. How do I know when it was made and where are any dates or identifications on it?

It's a Singer Model 66-? with the red eye decals. Look at the serial number at the base of the pillar and go here:
{ http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...-database.html }
to find when it was made.

The number is G 8038960 and the way I see it, it was made in 1910. Thanks!

That Red Eye (Singer 66) will give you a lot of good service. It will sew through darn near anything, and parts are easy to find. That one is in good condition, at least cosmetically! What a nice sister you have! Happy Birthday!
