Does anyone have, or know where I could get a Davis Sewing Machine? I recently got a Davis NVF base, the distance between the pins is 11 inches. I am looking for another one, as I'd really like to use it.

It was really neat how I got the base. I currently have 9 treadles, and 19 machines ;)

Please send me a Private Message if you have a Davis, or a machine without feed dogs.
Thank you
Far from off topic, we eat, sleep, dream, and live for vintage machines here!!!!

I dont know of any off the top of my head but I am sure some of us in the crowd here can find one!!!

I am thinking about setting up a "date" for a real time bench sewing session!! I will let everyone know when I can get a date set up.

But if I get this free one running, I will feel really good.

By the way, what is OSMGal? Hope it is good.

I used to hang out with my Dad in the garage. He used to drive stock cars in the days until he broke his back. But then he managed the local race track so I could hang out in the pits.

OSMG= Old Sewing Machine Guy

But you are an Old Sewing Machine Gal!!!

Thanks! Glad to hear it is okay. I was watching one on ebay, but wasn't able to get it.

That would be cool to have a sewing session! Currently I'm making a Bargello on my Class 15 clone, my Riccar.

We might want to petition to having our own section on the forum instead of a VS. I might bounce a few ideas off of Patricia to see what she thinks and then let her or I one present them to the Admin. But if we had enough support from the members then that might help also. But let me ponder the question and see what Patricia says.

Before I forget the tutorial on the cleaning will be done this week!! It takes a while to clean a machine and make sure you do not miss anything so thats whats slowing me down that and staying busy around here finishing up these cars.

Found a link this morning that might be helpful...this lady has tons of information on both machines and attachments...I was looking for info on some attachments I have that I have NO IDEA of what they're for! Anyway, I found this website and thought I'd share it!

http://www.april1930s.com/

I also joined a yahoo group for Singer Attachments...seems to be quite informative, and has lots of photos!

I have bought from April1930s on Ebay. Her prices are reasonable and she is really very friendly.

Blessings,
