WoW!   Sharon your handcrank is bEAUtiful :-D What treasure.

And Darcene, you have a very pretty FW. I love the green. If you haven't sewn on a FW (once you begin breathing again! you will truly love it.

Billy, you mean a FW carrying case isn't suppose to have that musty smell. Hmmm, great idea. I like it!

Well, the truth is, this is FW #4 for me.....I do 95% or more of all my quilting on my FWs.....also all clothing construction unless it requires a zigzag...I plan on this FW going to my DD with the other 3 going to my 3 DDILs...now I guess I need to decide what to bring home for my GDs...3 of them so far....maybe the 222-k's would be the way to go.....the other machines are Betsy, Rosie and Sophie....I think the new baby will be Charlene....classy with a touch of attitude...

Darcene I pulled it out of the case and showed my wife your machine and she thought it was the cutest thing there was!! I plugged it in and pushed the button and after a whiff of ozone it was running!

The foot pedal does not even have any scratches or any signs of usage at all. The cords are supple and look like they were just put on there. I am telling you this thing is brand spanking new!!!

As far as finding out where this machine was in the run and how many of them were made is not going to be fun....the records were lost on the white FW's. But I still have hopes that I can find out something from Chrys or Claire on the NeedleBar.

Billy, I was over the moon when I realized that she was going to be mine. You have some idea of the roadblocks and near miss that this involved. I honestly did not think it could get any better but this is just amazing to me......I have wanted a white machine for so long and now to find this one....well, you probably do have an idea.....again, thank you from the top, middle and bottom of my heart.....

I think that is the prettiest white FW that I've ever seen! The carrying case looks brand new! I'm amazed. I used to own a white FW and it came in a 2 tone blue case. I sold it + a black FW to buy a Bernina 930, wish I'd kept the white FW.

Darcene is at work right now but I am fixing to go hit the Hardware store and get 2-4x8 sheets of blue foam board and start getting the little tike ready to mail out Tuesday! This will give me something to do before and between the races today!!

Who knows it might get a quick service before being encapsulated in the case....

Now I did not touch this machine except to pull it out of the case and thats it. All it needs is a check up and used very lightly, as far as I am concerned this is the closest you will come to a NOS (New Old Stock) Singer 221K.

The machine was made in 1964 and the serial is EV950499

But trying to find one that is this "NEW" from the factory is going to be near impossible for the price that she paid!!
