Am I missing something, or is this machine cheap?

Also, is this a vintage Long Arm?

Now am ready to leave that negative feedback since re renigged on his part. What ya think?
Also post him on this board so we know not to buy from him.

Well the reserve is not met yet so I am thinking it will be over the $600 mark to get it. And the link to the long arm is the FW again...

I have a question about a machine I am being offered. It is a 1942 Imperial Kenmore Rotary, model 117.591. She says it is in a cabinet with two doors on the front. Maybe a parlor cabinet? I have not seen it yet, but plan to go look at it when I can. But I thought forewarned would be forearmed. I did find one online and they are kinda strange looking. She has not given me a price, has no idea what to charge. She also says it runs. So what do you all think?

Here is a picture of one I found online. Not the same one though. I also found one with out a cabinet that someone is asking 699.00 for. So I have no idea how much to tell her. Ideas??????

I have seen these frequently in various cabinets. I don't know what is appropriate for the timeframe these were made. I would think it would be in the $50 range if it is something you want.

All, as you can expect, I fell of my machine diet. I got ANOTHER white in a parlor cabinet....The cabinet needs some work. The door veneer is pretty rough on the edges. But it came with a box of attachments and 5 bobbins. It had a spring for the treadle belt... Never seen that before but seems to work pretty well.

I also got another Singer something on Shopgoodwill. It was $9.95 so i was just going to take it to garage sale and try to make a small profit tomorrow. I may still do that, but I cannot demo as it does not have a bobbin or bobbin holder. Not sure if these drop in ones have that?

Oh well, no other machines ready to go back on the market so no making space for Billy to come and go shopping, oh I mean dumpster diving. :? :?

Thanks, that is kind of what I was thinking. It is an odd looking machine. She said there was attachments for it. I guess I will go look at it and see.

Did you go thru ebay or privately with customer.
complain to paupal and Ebay. Don't let him get away with it.[/quote]

Went thru E-bay and paid with Paypal. As of moments ago, still no response, no refunds in account. I can't figure out how to find other items he may be selling. I want to see if he has changed anything. It is as if he has "disappeared".
I don't want to get in trouble with admin. by posting his info. but I sure don't want others having this problem.
Yes Billy, I intend to 'nail him to the wall' and a few other places if I could. :?

Too funny, I was bidding on that FW 222K and wondering if it was indeed a longer arm than normal. Got too high for my pockets. Oh well, there will be another one.
