Picked Rocketeer up today. Has some dings on the handwheel and the upper hinge on the faceplate is broken. I have a hinge pin I can put there and hope DH can do something about the hinge. The buttonholer can be used on either slant or straight machines. First time I've ever seen the stocking darner.

OK, here we go about Pfaff machines, I'm off topic a bit but....I bought a Pfaff 76 on Ebay the other day. It has not arrived, but I cannot seem to find anything on the web to read about the particular machine, or manuals or anything. Does anyone here, know any online sources I can check to find out about this machine? Help please, I know, impulse buying is not a good thing but sometimes it just happens :)

Congratulations on your Rocketeer. You got lots of goodies with her! Mine also has the same pin broken. If you find a fix for it, please share with me. Other than some nicks, that seems to be the only thing wrong with mine other than a lot of grim. I just got it within the last couple of weeks, thinking I would clean and service her with the tute Billy had said he was going to do using a Rocketeer. I have seen a photo of the sock darner and thought it would be interesting to see in action, though it's probably much easier to buy a pair of socks at the dollar store!

Trish, your Willy still has a cute foot pedal! When you have a number of vintage machines, it is hard to tell them apart! Reminds me of my mother when she would call out ALL our names when she wanted only one of us. It was easier than remembering that ONE name! We all came, and she pointed!

Mine isn't the pin broken, it is the hinge itself. I'll see if I have a spare pin.
