Yes, I would need a treadle to put the 15-90 in (if I buy it - I told the guy if he doesn't sell it in a couple weeks, I'd make him an offer), but I have two treadles sitting in the garage waiting to be refinished. I am switching out the heads on my 127 and 66 while the cabinet for the 66 gets cleaned up. I really am not looking for a treadle too, but would not turn down a 15-88 in a treadle if I find another one or the 66 with reverse Billy was talking about for a treadle..

Now that treadle, I'd definitely buy for that price! How pretty!

Thank you! That's my old guy, Dusty. 28 & still doing pretty darn good. I keep him at my friend's Thoroughbred farm, where he currently is playing "Grandpa" to the yearling fillies.
Wow, he's getting up there! He looks good for his age. I also have two old guys. They will be 29 in April. I tell them they better be careful as they are both on a banana peel!

Billy you need to address this. I have never heard of a timing problem with a FW. I bet it is just gunk or thread or lint or all 3 caught where it shouldn't be. It probably just needs to be cleaned up and oiled and maybe have the tension adjusted.

Posts with Kenmores in them make me want to clean sewing room #1 and get a look at mine. It was purchased in 1961 and used often until 1974, but I haven't seen it in 20 years. I used it to quilt several quilts after I bought the Elna because the Elna's feed dogs don't drop. H-m-m. If I don't show up for a few days, you'll know the fabric swallowed me up.

buslady, the bobbins at April 1930 shoppe are aftermarket, but they sew as well as the original in my 301A. $7 for 10 with no shipping.

Nancy I agree with you on it possibly being all three of them. I would spend some time cleaning it up and going from there. Everyone is so hung up on the timing on these machines. If you tried to sew 1/4" plywood yeah it is going to be out but if not then its an act of God to get one out of whack. Most of the time its because someone started to mess with the timing is the reasom its out.

Most of the time a FW won't sew because either the finger
of the bobbin case base isn't between the throat plate springs or the needle isn't put in correctly with the needle flat to the left or threaded incorrectly.

I just got my tenth sewing machine. For some reason I thought it was a Husky. I just took another look at it and it just says Dressmaker. I have no idea of what I have. Anyone care to take a guess. It has a round disk on it that says super cam. The disk moves and looks like something is missing. It has two dials for dec stitching. It has 54 stitches plus bh. It is a metal case and on the back there is two spool pins and a place the looks like it would hold three round bobbins. The spool on the very top has broken loose and the cords have electric tape to hold them together. The motor sounds great but the needle bar does not go up and down. If I move the balance wheel the needle bar moves freely. Kathie

Would any of you have a source for the shuttle and front slide access to the bobbin for the Domestic Fiddle Base Treddle?
