Okay, it's time for me to brag a bunch now... lol.

Here's what I picked up recently in the last 3 weeks:

A pristine 403, with all original attachements, cams, books, buttonholer, hemstitcher, and extra cams too. PLUS... case and plus... the matching Metal legged Card Table to fit it. All for $75, which is a great price for down here. Not a spec of rust. I know that it's not as 'nice' as the 401 or the Rocketeer 500's; but I like it and it works like blazes. The card table is REALLY cool. If you don't have one... GET one. They made them to fit various machines. Mine still has the original instruction page glued to the backside, the wood insert and all rails. Solid. Seems folks like the metal legged tables better than the wood leg ones. Certainly, the one I found... could likely withstand anything short of a house fire or a nuke. lol...

Found another, pristine black 301 shortbed.... no rust. Came with cradle still stuck to it, stuffed with all attachments and buttonholer, books, some other fancy stuff that I don't know what it is... It's pristine, except that the power cord was cut. No big thing. easy to replace. No rust and no nasty white metal rot either. Paid through the nose for it... $175, but it was worth it to me. It will fit just nicely in the trapazoid cabinet once that's re finished.

My other, older 301, that has the rust lightly through out and the quarter-sized spot of white aluminum spauling on the base... well. That's prob. going to Goodwill. Unless someone wants it from this list (just pay the shipping). It didn't come with any attachments...

No treadles yet. I do have three possible treadle heads (converting back to treadle the 66, and two 27s.)
Sounds like you found a sweet spot!! Good finds!!

I think the part number is 32559. I'm using a shirt tail hemmer for the measurement. I really am anxious to get my treadle machine going so that I can use it. This is the only vintage machine that I have so far. If anyone could tell me where I might find this foot, I would greatly appreciate it.
My 66 also uses back clamping feet, but I only have one of the foot you are looking for-- the one I use the most on the machine! Those feet are hard to come by. If you want to keep your machine original, you may have to be patient and check ebay regularly, and talk to as many vintage sewing machine repair people as you can find. Many people have changed out the pressure foot bar to take the more available side-clamping feet, for this reason. That's another option you have.

Good luck-- I hope you are able to treadle on your machine soon. You will absolutely love it.

I would change it if I had the side clamp parts and knew how to do it! :| I am even watching for a parts machine. I missed one the other day for $15.50 plus a low shipping amount. It had what I needed.

Heck, that's what I thought too!!!! I would be ALL OVER it. lol. Still searching/researching it. the logo def. had the hound, but I don't know if the machines had the full logo or just the NH. So far, it seems as if the designated "Light Running" machine title is given to the bronzy newer machine that was badged NH or Westinghouse, 15 clone. Reminds me of the Montgomery Ward France Libertie model. But the actual machines made by NH before Free took them over, all say New Home. Found one beautiful treadle on ebay, but has plain irons.

QUICK... go over to shopgoodwill.com I just saw a whole box of attachments that clamped that style! I remember, 'cause I was wondering if they were back clampers (I don't have such a machine...!).

If there's a ruffler in there that you don't want, it'd love to find a home here. I want to make a ruffled shower curtain. Just a thought. Judy
Judy... I'll check to see if I have a spare slant ruffler. Will PM you tomorrow, either way...

I have a wonderful sew shop that has BUCKETS of old Singer feet. She often gives them to me for FREE. I'll double check with her to see if she's got any back clamping feet. Just another excuse to go see the shop!

There's a couple place/shops on ebay that do this. As I understand it, you have to replace the presser bar totally but it has to be with another antique 66 presser bar from a donor machine. I'll look for those too. Whee !!! This is fun! The hunt is ON! <gosh, am I getting vintage machine 'drunk' or what?!?!>

You can use a presserfoot bar from a 27, 127, 28 ,128, 15, 66 if I remember correctly. I know I used a 27 before in one of mine a sold to a quilt shop.

Here are the one set of New Home irons I have that date to 1870.
