Heck, that's what I thought too!!!! I would be ALL OVER it. lol. Still searching/researching it. the logo def. had the hound, but I don't know if the machines had the full logo or just the NH. So far, it seems as if the designated "Light Running" machine title is given to the bronzy newer machine that was badged NH or Westinghouse, 15 clone. Reminds me of the Montgomery Ward France Libertie model. But the actual machines made by NH before Free took them over, all say New Home. Found one beautiful treadle on ebay, but has plain irons.

Here are the one set of New Home irons I have that date to 1870.

Very pretty. I have a New Home but the irons are just plain on it. Still haven't found out to much about it. I am still searching.

I have to sand blast these and repaint them, they used to be a BBQ grille stand at one time. I have gotten to where I can make a set of irons look like they were just off of the line they are so slick!

But at the time I needed to get them inside before winter so I rattle canned them black and put a top on them.

If you want to keep your machine original, you may have to be patient and check ebay regularly, and talk to as many vintage sewing machine repair people as you can find. Many people have changed out the pressure foot bar to take the more available side-clamping feet, for this reason. That's another option you have.

Good luck-- I hope you are able to treadle on your machine soon. You will absolutely love it.

I have a wonderful sew shop that has BUCKETS of old Singer feet. She often gives them to me for FREE. I'll double check with her to see if she's got any back clamping feet. Just another excuse to go see the shop!

Wow, it would be great if she has one. There's a presser foot bar on ebay but it's from a 99. Says it will fit a 66 too but I have no idea.

I found a Graybar electric machine today at an antique store near me. The lady only wants $50 for the machine, and it looks to be in great shape. I had never heard of a Graybar so did some research today. It seems Graybar was an actual company - still is - but, they made consumer products, including sewing machines from 1926 until 1934 when they succumbed to the Depression and discontinued their own lines of consumer products. Does anyone have a Graybar? Since they were only made for a few years, I'd think they are not real common.
