Last night, he brought it along with him. It needs a good cleaning. There are some attachments with it. The machine is a Singer 66 treadle. The alloted date is 1909. Pretty cool for being over 100 years old. Just had to share my good news
You have a very nice 66 with lotus decals my favorite. I wish I had a friends that would give a sewing machine. Glenn

He didn't clean out the lint or oil anything, he did tighten all the screws and the handwheel clutch way too much and used a screw driver that was too big. grrrr! Some people should never be allowed to "service" a sewing machine ever!! :x I'd never serviced a FW that had no grease left in the motor at all.
I gave the sweet FW lots of TLC and she sews very well now; purrs just like she should.
Forgot to tell y'all it took me 2 hours to undo all that goopy mess. I should've taken before and after pix.

Dh found another number also A107-3
Other writing reads: Distributed by Necchi Elna Sewing Machine Sales USA
*** Arm says Miracle on it.
Motor: Champion Made in USA Universal Motion Cycles 25-75 Model 24
I have one of these machines labeled as distributed by Necchi-Elna. Mine is a green straight-stitcher, and I believe it was made in the early 60s. My friend's ex-husband gave it to her for her birthday one year. I got it in the divorce--I'm pretty sure she didn't want to look at anything that reminded her of him!!
Do you happen to know what size needles it takes. I am having a really hard time finding information about it. I am waiting to hear from a site that might have a manual.
Thanks, it's seems to be a really "sweet" machine.

Chris-quilts, it is hard when you have one of the machines from the missing serial numbers. Anyway, you know it can't be older than 1908 and it was made in Wittenberge, Germany (Prussia). Can you post a picture and maybe we can figure out what you have?

I'm not really good at sitting still myself, but I'm also probably ADD (my kids are all diagnosed; I see no reason for an official diagnosis at my age), so I never really FINISH anything.

It doesn't help that the @#$% phone keeps ringing. Anyone else hate the telephone??
Ok Cherrybsixty, Miz Johnny diagnosed me. I don't have ADD - I have to finish everything I start - drives me batty until I get er finished!

I do screen my calls, but SOMETIMES, you just have to talk to people or they get their feelings hurt. Ask me how I know.

I've been watching that Jones as well, and was greatly tempted, but I have 2 or 3 Jones machines, so thought I'd better let that one pass me by. That big yellow rose really does float my boat, though.

That's Billy's friend. The decals are really beautiful on this one. DH has been watching this one too. Just to see it sell.
This seller is the best of the best. I've bought several machines from him.
