Oh, wow! What an accomplishment! Hope you'll show if off when it is all quilted.

My wedding quilt just came back from the quilter today. It only has 1200+ pieces in it, the smallest a modest 2". You can see it here if your like:

The 301 is not in the case because I'm sewing with it and I have to purchase a new case for the 221. I'm still holding on to the original cases. But the smell gets to my asthma. Any good suggestions would be appreciated and I'm thanking all in advance. Blessings, Nancy
I placed crumpled newspapers in the case with used dryer sheets, closed it up for a week or so and that helped; you could also try sprinkling baking soda in the case and sit it out in the sun for a few days.
If the machine itself smells old and yucky, replace the oil absorbing pad that goes underneath the screwed on base cover. Both of those things helped my machine and case and I didn't have problems with my asthma after that. Good Luck!

I just got my cabinet back for my 66. We/hubby put a new belt on it and now it slips. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?
Thank you, Kathie

Hey, everyone! I'm getting a treadle! I put a post about it on the main board, I'm so excited.

All I know is its a black Singer, LOL. Its in a cabinet/table and it seems to work good, I'm told.

When I get it, tomorrow, I will post pics probably will need help figuring out which one it is.

mtspools, your Kenwood looks like my 1928 Leader which Miz Johnny identified as being made by the National Company - the manual has a big N on it, too. Mine is a 3/4 size machine and yours looks bigger, but there are a lot of similarities, including the round access panel on the front. The cabinet is similar, too, but not the design in the foot pedal. Mine is on page 872.

Anyone, how do you access a prior page? I had to go 'round the block to find Miss No Name.

Congrats,
That is just beautiful, Quiltgranny, and a fabulous gift! Did you do that wonderful piecing on a vintage machine?

mtspools, you asked about age of your machine... I could only guess, but I wouldn't think it was any younger than about 1920, and probably much older. Just my guess.
