The wooden top was missing from the box, and there is a hole the box bottom where there would have been a knee control, and the black metal part that covers the electric parts is gone, so I am thinking that someone removed the motor and the electronic stuff at one time for some reason or other. Or it was originally a hand crank and they removed that,which I think is less likely.
So, I will be putting a hand crank on this one, it's too small to slip into my treadle base and it will be fun to have it be portable.

I believe last spring it was listed (looking at the address) for a lot higher by itself, now they are trying to move it with a garage sale. If it was this price back then, it would be sitting in my house right now!

I gess it's too far to hop in the car and over from Oceanside, CA. I would so love to have this one. I've never seen a cabinet like this one. Shipping would be out of sight I'm sure. Never mind that I love this Vintage Thread Billy started, I can see I'm gonna get in trouble. Better lock up the CCs. :-)

I have a question I'm sure I already know the answer to. Because my Necchi is in a cabinet and the cords are plugged into a box attached to the cabinet, I probably should sell it as a unit. Correct??

Is there any way to detach the box unit and keep it with the machine? (Sew Classic has a cord set with the light and motor plug for sale--it's a little box with 2 outlets for the light and motor, a cord that plugs into the wall, and another cord that goes to a 2-wire foot pedal).
Will the machine work easily without the box setup or will it need to have parts that are difficult to find or very costly? Figure out a cost if needed and compare to selling it all together.
Do you need the cabinet for anything else? Would it be difficult to find another cabinet in the future if you did need it?
Do you think it would sell better/easier with the cabinet or without (transport or shipping issues)?
Just some things to think about. Good luck with your sale!
