Anamaria, I love your new 15 clone! That one drops its feed dogs so it will be a great quilting machine!

Alan (the owner)often seems as if he's got a stick up his...well...you know the rest of that saying....but he's done well to keep the board to business and spam free.

I've learned a lot there from the more seasoned members, and I often find answers for folks here on Needlebar...guess if that makes me a bad person for supporting them, then so be it...
Well we dont do exclusive here, everyone is invited no matter what and I expect everyone to feel like family and have a blast. Alan and I got into it because I was tired of his crap so I offered to buy it when he was going through his biannual "It is my site and I will close it down if I want to" bit. Personally I have more information on this laptop then they do there and you dont hear me griping about people asking questions and I am the first to jump in and help someone if they need it without making everyone feel like crap.

But it has been agreed with the Admin, Moderators and I not to mention that site on this board for several reasons and that is really the only rule I have other than we all have fun and make this a place we all want to come to!

Billy
Whatever...

Charlee,

I like ya!!! You share the info. HUGS

Why I have my issues with what must not be named is for this reason. At one time I could just google the info, and since the site was "free" the info would show up.
That was last fall when I was young at collecting and naive( still am naive, but that is another story) as to what groups were out there for vintage machines. Then one day, that freedom was gone. I tried googling for info only to find that the site wasn't open any longer, which frustrated me.

I like to contribute and share- and I do here and on my blog.

The machines will out live us and for some strange reason they have a way of finding their new steward.

And not all new stewards want to be members of all the machine groups just to find info on the machines.

Yes! I have been waiting for October just to be able to do this display. Thank you!!!!
I really like the display and it is fitting!! Dont you just love the fall?!?!

Billy
The first time I heard the term coffin top, I was like eeks, ghosts!

When I picked up the free Singer VS2 in cabinet with the coffin top, I just chuckled to myself. I pictured the coffin top sitting on top of my dining room table with my Halloween ghosts. I don't have time to make a Halloween quilted table runner for this Halloween, but I will have one done for next year. And my Singer VS2 will be used to make the runner.

Not a "snit" but PatriceJ and I have already talked about this last year or maybe the year before but the Admin does not want their name mentioned at all because of the bad blood between Alan and I. And they have had a few folks snooping over here to see what was being said about them and reporting back to Claire and Alan. I do not have time for BS especially theirs and their snooty museum ways.

Hopefully we will not have to have this come up again because I really do not feel like dealing with it anymore.

Then don't...and actually, they have a LOT of folks that are members here...and to cut off what could be a valuable resource for those reasons is wrong...
