I blundered into one of those deals back in October 2009. A retired couple collected antiques, specializing in antique farm tractors, until the husband switched to tinkering with antique sewing machines because the tractor parts seemed to get heavier and heavier to deal with as he aged.
The husband passed on, and the tractor collection was auctioned off, but they ran out of time to auction the sewing machine collection at that time. The lady didn’t want to have another auction, sold some here and there, but finally decided to sell the rest in an “all or nothing” lot. It was a 20-foot shipping container full with machines on shelving up three walls to the ceiling and the floor space filled with cabinets and portables underneath. Extra parts in boxes were poked into any empty spaces. I couldn’t even get in to see them all, but I saw enough.
There were 215 sewing machines in that container.....

Hey everyone do you you know where or who has a zig zag needle plate for the 319w? I think Candace is going to sell me one of her 319's, but it only has the single hole plate. I will need a zig zag plate so I can use the decorative stitches!

Re-homed 34 heads and 12 cabinet/treadles to others
Parted out 26 heads and 1 cabinet
The rest are waiting to be re-homed, or used for donor parts.

CD, what fun you must of had. And of course lots of work. I never run into this kind of deal. But I guess I would have to retire to be able to deal with it.
