Maybe, Cathy has my hinge/pins screws! I somehow doubt it, as she doesn't have many cabinets - just tons of machines, parts, cams!

Nancy
This mini TOGA just came up, a last minute planning. Yesterday's discussion for the event was a vote for what day to meet. I'm trying to keep up with everything here, there, and elsewhere. I've been on a marathon (like everyone else before the holidays) with baking, trying to finish up another sewing project that didn't get done because of errands, and chauffeuring son to events. Found time to walk the dog. And the best part of the day was that my daughter came home from college!!

Yes, its official! Cathy is having a mini TOGA next Tuesday. I will bring my Standard for those to inspect and give it a try.

Are you going to be there? Anyone else? Candace, Grayhare, Kathie...I think I'm missing someone else.

Well we do hang out at some of the same places so even though carefully worded so others wouldn't know who, I did! And I don't mind outing myself if it helps someone else not make the same mistake.

Miriam, You have to do Christmas, no waiting. It will help in Wilbur's recovery, it will cheer him up, and the focus will be on Christmas instead of his throat.
Hope all goes well!

I found another Davis VF. It's down in Los Angeles area, about a 2-1/2 hour drive for me. I e-mailed the seller and she is willing to take $125 for it. The bottom of the cabinet is painted looks like in the pics. The machine looks good. I'm going to talk to her by phone tomorrow to find out if the shuttle and all is there. She wasn't sure what the shuttle is when I asked by e-mail....she is not familiar with treadle machines. She has had it on Craigslist for several months and I have been watching. Anyway, here are the pics from the ad. Let me know what you think.

Yes, Monica, I was thinking the same thing. Also, it would be great if I could find a way to use both Davis heads on the same cabinet...only slight modification needed since my older girl has a very squared corners bed and this one is rounded. Wouldn't that be too cool? Yes!!

That would! You will enjoy them both once you get them set up to sew.

My machine is stitching much better now that I have cleaned it from the spray basting fiasco. No longer skipping stitches or making loops. Never again with any chemicals other than sewing oil for me.

I can't be there, but hopefully there will be one in the spring that I can make it too. Especially now that I have my very own handcrank 66 to bring, show off & use! (well once I can connect with Janice & get her help putting the handcrank on that is LOL)
