I know exactly what you mean Melinda! I want at least one of everything with each style of decals! However...my home won't allow that, and neither will the spousal unit! 
It'll be hard to turn loose of the 9W...it was my first treadle. I won't have as much trouble with the e-machines...but that rose decaled cabinet with the New Florence in it is going to tug a bit...

Yep... I like tinkering too...but I also LOVE the cabinets!! The prettier or more unique the cabinet is, the more likely the machine is to follow me home!

Candace, did you buy that black 301 that I saw on Craigslist yesterday or the day before? I went back to try and find it and it is gone! It was really nice. Someone from Sacramento was selling it for a very reasonable asking price, way under $100. I can't find it now. I was going to go get it! I hope you got that one! Anyway, someone knew what it was and snatched that baby up quick!

I am watching the discussion about finding a new home for machines with a lot of interest. I haven't been doing this long, but I am going to need to let some go too at some point. I wonder just what sort of luck people have had with CL. How else have y'all sold machines with good results? I've noticed that one of the local auction places seems to run high on price, but on the local (smaller) CL, they just sit there (priced a bit too high in my estimation). Sewing machines don't seem to last long at the local Goodwill either, so people do take them home.
Good luck finding new homes for your babies Charlee! I know which ones I'd keep out of mine if I were limited to a certain number, but thinking about having to let the others go is still sad.

I found that you have to moderate but firm prices on CL and be patient. Give out plenty of info with good pictures. Don't bother with "it was grandmas, serious inquiry only" Put your phone number in but make it so that it isn't something someone can automatically dial. (1-123-321-1234) will come up on someones cell some how and they can dial it but (1-123-one two three -1234) is ok. Allow emails with new titles & their phone numbers. Don't look at the ones that come back with your same title or wanting to know if you will lend them money or what ever. Read the safety info on CL.

OMG! I was just talking to the spousal unit and telling him which machines I was planning to post and everytime I would point one out, he'd say, "but you wanted that one"... "we worked hard on that one"..."that was your first one"...."I don't know, it's pretty cute..." and finally, "What's wrong with making a couple of payments on the credit card?"
