Mine will fit in a 314 card table. Thanks so much. I would have bought the wrong size machine. Very helpful web sit. This is just a wonderful thread with lots of good info.

Good to hear. Whatever machine you buy, make sure the bobbin case is there. Getting a replacement is NOT cheap. Both the FW and 301 use the same bobbin case and it will cost you about $50 for a vintage replacement. A bit less for a repro.

The 513's will have plastic gears. We have a 518 and a 538 and they are plastic geared.

Any one familiar with a Jones Family CS and what needles are required and where to get them. I have a nice one with the original HC on it.

Dang it Skip! You keep getting MY machines!!

Depending on it's age, the older machines take a round shank needle, 128x1, 16x1, 16x231, or serger needles BDx1 (pasted from Needlebar)
