I have one other Redeye, a 1916 model...need to drag it out and compare the differences between the 1916 and the 1925...One difference I noticed right off the bat is the presser bar...back clamp on the older one, side clamp on the new one.

My junk score was an Elna SU!!!

Joe and Elaine Miller came for a visit - after we toured my shop we hit up a thrift store... I spied an old Eldridge transverse shuttle - cool looking machine - way too pricy, broken Pittman holder part (someone tried to weld it back) AND someone painted the head so it is locked up tight...

We had a good time checking out the junk in my shop. I don't get it... people come to my shop and can barely squeeze into their trucks then go to a thrift store or an antique shop... the good news is we crammed it all in - no sewing machines tied to the front of Joe's truck.

Well put on your QB 'super member' quilted cape and zip on over here... Indianapolis has kind of a high water table so we don't have real many basements... We have TONS of thrift stores and antique stores... Indianapolis has garbage rationing. We get one (1.) government issued garbage can the size of a homeless shelter a week. Then once a month you can stick out one item. Yup. garbage rationing. SO everybody donates their garbage to Goodwill or someplace... people buy it and take it to the antique stores - lots to choose from... Junk City USA.

I would love to have a White Rotary that was affordable. I found a beautiful example locally, however the asking price is prohibitive. $350!!!

I really work at searching them out...and then you have to jump on it..Whew. It will need restoration but it's worth it.
