Thanks....and are you talking about the doll I made? I'll get around to making a dress for her sooner or later...

Sorry, two different subjects. I was admiring your sewing machine cabinet and commenting on an earlier post with a pic of a decoupaged "bust" someone was using to display jewelry. I've seen your doll too...very cute! Isn't it nice to know how much you're missed when you're not around?

Miriam, I'll keep Wilbur in my prayers!! Hope you have an answer soon!
SEW, I am not crazy? I have been itching (in my mind!) to paint one or two of my vintage cabinets that have cute little benches with storage under the seat. Thanks Charlee for the visual!

Glad to see you are feeling better. Hope you keep going in that direction.

I am cleaning out my office and ran across the case for my FW. Eeeek! I don' t want to open it because I know it had moldy odor issues two years ago. I had tried leaving it open in the summer sunlight for days and to no avail.

What is the BEST way to get rid of that odor? Or, is replacing the felting inside the only way. I hate musty smelling stuff.

Tons of options!
http://quiltville.blogspot.ca/2012/0...ine-cases.html

The other thing is that Dave McCallum - http://www.featherweight221.com/fwrx/index.html - suggests using a lamp with a stable base and heating the inside. That's in keeping with a lot of the comments in the other link above. I can't remember the specifics of what he said (wattage and time) but if needed, I suppose I can bring myself to watch that portion of the DVD again...

This link has some good suggestions too:

Don't know if this is what you need to do or maybe you are doing it already. When you find a picture from another site what I do is copy it to the MY Pictures section on my computer or where ever you save your photos. then I can resize it or if I want to put it on here it works better coming from my own computer where it's been saved.

Thanks. I haven't read them all but so far, the spic n span with a little bleach sounds good! I really would like to use the case when I travel with my FW.

You may have already done this:
On the Post to thread page, scroll down to Manage Attachments and click on that. It gives the size of images you can load. Your photo may may be too large to upload. Double check your photo and see how big it is. You may have to make it smaller by your computer photo program and then go back and upload it. I had to do that with some of mine as they were way bigger than the QB will load and they loaded quickly. Good luck...

I just got a 99K, and the cabinet. And I just answered a CL ad for a 66 in a bentwood case. The machine looks in very good condition. The decals look very nice. The case looks nice; the wood looks a bit dry. It even has the key! I will pick her up tomorrow, I couldn't resist the price $20.
I really have to stop looking on CL
My children tell me I have too much free time, I am waiting for my 3rd knee surgery. Hmm....wonder if it could be related.
