Miriam,

That is truly wonderful news about Wilbur. (Never thought that I'd say wonderful when referring to strep and staph.)

It says on the front that it was made in Rockport Illinoise and there are two medallions on it with naked ladies on them! yep..naked as jaybirds! The one on the left says: Expositione Universelle" and the one on the right says " Republique Francoise". Can anyone tell me anything about this beautiful lady?
Very pretty machine, enjoy.

Miriam this is great news, even though, he is still very sick!

Giggle, very pretty New Home Light Running machine. I had one exactly like yours that I sold for parts. Mine was black, but it had the same naked lady emblem on the inside of the arm. I sold my machine for parts because getting parts for those machines is nearly impossible! Mine was missing the whole bobbin assembly. You are lucky your machine is complete!

I can't tell you how happy we all are that prayers have been answered and we know that he will return to normal soon. Don't forget to get him on those probiotics that someone else recommended; they restore the normal flora in the bowel that the antibiotics kill.

have been working away on my sewing room for a few weeks. we hung the last cabinet tonight! I painted an ugly brown sewing table to use with all my vintage machines that are in bases. Likely I'll have to touch it up every so often, but it sure is cuter, and the top is much smoother, too. Laura

Miriam, thanks for the good news on Wilbur. So much better than having a super bug. It's good to hear that he's teasing his sisters.
Laura, I like what you did with the sewing table. Can you put a poly finish or something like it over the paint to make it more durable? I'm asking, as I don't know it they will work or not, but it might help keep the finish looking great and also smooth. I'd like to find one similar to that for all of my portables too.

I'd like to find a table like that too. I like a flat surface like a cabinet gives you but I have no more room for cabinets. A table like that would be a blessing.

Miriam,

That does not surprise me at all. I looked and looked and looked at the goodies you have there and I'm sure I didn't see a tenth of them.

It's ok Joe I can't find anything either. We moved stuff around the other day - now you can walk through - I still have to clean the shop some more. LOL... I set out to yesterday and got called in to work for the real job... some idiot put time in but didn't show up last week - the truth caught up to her. Now I just have to get more done today. I think I have more Kenmore sewing machine tables than Machines - I wonder what they all go to... I'm about to put up a sale of stuff I don't want - the place is driving me crazy.
