Yipee! I converted one of my 66 Red Eyes to hand crank! now that I know it works, my next project will be to strip, repaint, and redecal this machine. I am going to use black paint and the correct decals, so hopefully it will turn out good as new....
the picture makes it look like this machine has good decals already- but I promise you that the bed is trashed and a lot of the dark colors have worn thru to the underlayer.

I love your newly hand cranked red eye! 
Looking forward to seeing your decal restoration. I love old worn aged decals just in the sense that they give you the idea of what the life of your machine has been like. It's SO fun though to see the amazing things people are doing to preserve and restore these things.

I paid him $10 for this...and while it's nothing super fancy, it's one I don't have and it looks to have been born in 1924...so excited to clean this one up and play! I know absolutely nothing about White's other than it seems to be a lot harder to find info online about them than Singers!

Bennett refurbished a White - named it 'Cookie' it was about a year ago - came out very nice.
