Okay just to get this out here.....As far as the Singers are concerned when we give the date of the machine it is for the day that they were allotted to be manufactured. Your machine depending on the serial number will fall after the allotted date.

For instance lets say that my machine was allotted April 20 1911 and there were 50,000 of them made. Feasibly it could have been manufactured well into August of 1911. It just depends on the serial and were it fell in the allotted run.

That 128 looks pretty good if you ask me!! $30 is a real good price if you get the machine also.

The machine doesn't look as nice up close. It is badly rusted and the paint is completely off in some spots. We'll see tomorrow.

The attachments look in very good shape though.

They will fit. Most of the low shank Singer attachments will fit all the low shank Singer machines machines. Ask to see a photo of the attachments and email it to me and I can give you a ball park figure as to what to offer.

Well I told the guy I would buy the attachments for $30.00. The way the e-mail went I think the machine is also included, not really sure. I want the attachments.
I have one looks like that machine I bought at a yard sale for 20 bucks. I will get it out of the closet today if I don't forget and take pictures of it and get the model number off it. The cover is not in that good ashape I don't think.
This is so interesting I also have a Feather weight machine to. I love old stuff.

What a great place to relax for awhile. I love old machines but only have my featherweight from GM to date. Fixed incomes ae just that....fixed. Big question! How do I get the musty odor out of the cabinet? I've tried everything I know of but no luck. HELP?

Hello - This is exactly what I'm looking for! I just bought an old Singer last week from a thrift shop I volunteer at. I paid $50. for it, and when you plug it in it does run, although I haven't really got it figured out yet.

The instruction manual says 1921, and it has a vibrating spindle bobbin, which I don't know anything about. I'd really like to see how she works, but don't quite know where to start.

One of the members on this board gave me a website which tells how to change it to a handcrank, but I'm really not sure where to go from here.....

I'd love to be part of this group. I'm sending a photo......

grreat! I just bought a a kenmore sewing machine(non treadle) vintage 20's -30's but needs a lot of work looking for parts
