Welcome to Quilting Board, hunt2han. I'm wondering if one of the other 96 machines would help. Apparently https://www.singersewinginfo.co.uk/i...ustrialmanuals has one available for pdf download. I couldn't enlarge the photo of the cover. There are a lot of 96 class machines and a lot of parts manual. I have gone to https://web.archive.org/web/20190820...IPinstManuals/ and https://web.archive.org/web/20190727.../IPpartCharts/ for manuals. I have found some of the instruction manuals have gotten mixed up with the parts lists and vice versa. Another source would be https://www.manualslib.com/s/singer+96.html

We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button. As shown at Standard Sewing Machine Co. Paragon

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Or simply - Make sure pictures are smaller than 2MB
Click on red "Reply" button
Click on the paper clip icon
Click browse - choose picture/s. (only 5 allowed per post)
Once they show up as being loaded, Scroll over to the right side and click on "Upload"
After the pictures show up as being attached, you can close that window and go back to the screen to finish posting your post.

I see in your album that you are needing a belt for the bobbin winder. To measure the missing belt there are some instructions at https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bl...-belts-sizing/ However, I would take exception to using a stretch belt. Yes, it will stretch to fit, but from my understanding it takes a toll on the pulleys. Hollyann, my machine is identical to yours! Mine is named Jazzy. Do you still love Henrietta? I sure love Jazzy! She's my go-to for everyday sewing. I'm trying to get the chain stitch attachment to work tho and having issues. Any ideas?

Welcome to QB, soohum. Hollyann hasn't been on QB for a number of years. I'm guessing that you have the manual that has directions for the chain stitch and that you also have the 'spider' that is needed for the chainstitch.
There is a manual at https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2P3...TtCpVqkMl_L7Xw and there is a web page that talks about the chain stitch which may or may not help. I definitely cannot be any more help than that as I have never seen one in real life.

Hey there hunt2han, This forum isn't the best for industrial machines. I assume your machine is a Singer. You may get better answers if you start your own thread with the name and model # in the subject line.. Pics are good too but hey need to be under 2m Welcome aboard.
