Very nice machines, vman. Did you do all the clean up or were they that shiny and clean when you got them? Glad you have found this group..... lots of helpful information.

Appreciate all you folks for being here! Hoping you all have a happy Thanksgiving! I read the QB everyday, which is more than I can say for email, facebook, etc!

Hi Everyone,
I have an update on the 1917 White Rotary and her new "home". Its all cleaned up and doesn't reek of ciggy smoke anymore. I've been piecing String Star blocks, just have 1 more row and then borders.

Steve,
The Wheeler & Wilson trade card has pretty artwork.

Sharon, your "cup holder" made me smile! Beautiful machine!

And Happy Thanksgiving to all the vintage and antique machine enthusiasts on the QB!

I have been "lurking" for about a year now really enjoy the conversations and photos.

I have 4 machines. Singer 500A, 2 Kenmore Rotarys 117-591, and a Viking. I use the Kenmore for piecing, Singer for quilting and the Viking is my "sewing on the picnic table" machine.

That's wonderful! My hubby has started on the cleaning of my White since he was able to do so well on the Singer 27 I am sure he will do wonderfully on the White.
I too love the cup holder and will have to remember this but I might have to figure out something to protect the wood inside the drawer as I don't want any accidents in there! LOL

I agree and you are right much more pleasing than modern sales tools!
