Helen,
My goodness you have some gorgeous machines. I had to wipe up a big puddle of drool.

I lived in California for about 20 years and never got to go to Yosemite.

my impromptu survey so far... 24 people surveyed who currently live in California, 6 have been to Yosemite.... (not counting the three of us who went this last weekend (2 visited BEFORE they moved here. lol)

Amazing the number of folks who have never been there.

we often miss the treasures that are close by. Grass is greener... I was born in San Jose, have a pic of me there as a wee tike. Moved out from the bay in '86 to the Sierras. Hiked, backpaced, camped, kayaked and canoed a lot thete. I miss high granite. Go thru Tuolumne Meadows and out the back gate to 395. It's reslly beatiful. Check out ghost towns from the gold and silver rushes.

That is like all the people in Minnesota who have never gone to see the great lake.

Actually this project was because of the whole family pitching in to help every night this week.
