But the machine hasn't been used much at all, and I am sure I will get my $5 of use out of her. Has that white grease on the gears, too, doesn't it?
It does look clean inside. It sort of reminds me of a cute older Taiwan made Brother I used to have. Not a great machine but not a bad one either. If it works well it might be a good beginners machine, and yes you probably will get your moneys worth out of it. For that price I would have bought it too.

Took me all day to realise where this reference is from. Does that mean the plastic is up to no good?

I think it is a reference to 101 Dalmatians. And a like it or not, they are plastic cams.

Grant -

You're close. It's actually "Lady and the Tramp." We are Siamese if you please. They got Lady thrown out of the house.

I guess it has been longer than I thought since I was a dad to a young boy, and not old enough to have grand kids yet. I knew the song though.

Aren't they wonderful? I have 8 kidlets, from the 20yr old down to 3yrs old. I have the 3 youngest most often and they keep me busy for sure. I've seen the many pics you've posted with the kidlets helping you and love them. I do that too with youngest boy. Arrow just turned 5 and loves to help. Here he is helping clean the Cambridge when I got it. When I took off the rear access cover it was totally crammed full of old hard grease. It's a wonder the hand wheel would even move at all. He's wearing a glove because I was wearing one. I sometimes wear examination gloves so when he saw me putting on a glove he went and found one of his.

Yes, the Siamese Cat song. Someone's child was singing it the other day, and it made me laugh. Plastic cams have that same attitude, and are usually up to no good. I felt that the machine is sneaky. I was tricked into spending $5 on it because I presumed all metal because my 1980 Kemore is. It's going to be big fun while it lasts, theough. LOL.
