Default Vintage Sovereign Sewing Machine

I am very interested in knowing if anyone has info on Vintage Sovereign Sewing Machines. The machine is Blue/Turquois. The machine was made in Japan. I can't seem to find much info.
Thanks

Likely a Japanese clone of a Singer clone circa 1960s.

Go to Yahoo groups and join the vintage japanese sewing machine group. They have some manuals there. I have a straight-stitch, pink Atlas which is a rebadged HA4-B2 Brother and found a manual there. The manual for mine actually says "Sovereign" on the cover. A lot of vintage machines were made in Japan and re-labeled for sales in the US.

Look for HA4-B2 Brother in the files section. Go through the manual and see if its features match you machine.

I have one, also and love the way it sews - just can't get the bobbin winder to work.

Well, to ask the obvious - have you oiled it? Or could the bobbin ring be dried out and need replacing? If it's an original part, it's only about 60 years old.
