Steve, I appreciate the encouragement. I check every 29-4 on eBay and pray it's a local-only pickup in this rural area. Found a cabineted Centennial 15-91 within 16 miles that way. The downside of finding the 29-4 = probably divorce papers served on me.

I have the machine, an adorable Willcox & Gibbs, but I really want to find an original cabinet/treadle irons for it. I am in remote Alaska, so finding it here is probably impossible. Shipping anything here is unbelievably outrageous, IF someone will ship to Alaska at all. Something heavy like a cast iron treadle base is most likely out of the question! Maybe someday I'll figure out how to get one for my lonely W&G (which I still use anyway).

Steve is right! I see this machine on Craigs List quite often.

Out of the numerous machines that I've "collected" (hoarded) over the past few years, the one I use the most is my pink Atlas. I love it!

You'll love the 301 if you ever run across one. I use mine every day!

A Necchi Mirella is the last one I could actively pursue I think. I would just love to have one....

But I think if I saw a treadle as beautiful as that Grover & Baker I'd go silly, for sure, just to own something so amazing. You must be really excited Steve!

I have a few on my "want" list. Anything old & rare of course, but actively seek two machines... a W&W9, head only to fit in the cabinet I have for one, and a red and white BelAir...

The one machine I really, really want is available locally; alas no money to be had and the seller wants far too much. Its a very pretty National Two Spool.
