not a bad price, and in good shape.
Wheeler and Wilson was one of the original sewing machine companies and was bought out by Singer in 1905

These are fairly easy to find. I have three of the Wheeler & Wilson wooden boxes for my treadle and hand crank machines, all purchased on EB** auctions, in excellent condition. Including shipping, one was full of tools and attachments ($35), one had just attachments ($25), and an empty one was $20. Just looking now, there are 19 listed there mostly in really nice condition. So, considering GW's normally high shipping charges, and it's not in the best shape (dark marks on the top, little holes near the hinges) I personally wouldn't go higher than the bid now at $20 + shipping. Just my thoughts and opinion . . .

these get listed at outrageous prices on eBay all the time. Not that anyone buys them at those prices though LOL!
Occasionally one will sell for $65+ barbecue it's got a rare attachment tucked inside.
I'd watch eBay for a nicer one with goodies inside.

I saw auction listings on ebay for a couple of the Singer (1889) puzzle boxes -- one was listed for $160, and another for $155, and frankly, they're in worse shape than some I bought for less than $30, including the shipping. JMHO!
